Dear Integration Community,
Evolution of the Integration Consortium (IC) Public Notification
We are pleased to announce that effective January 1st, 2010, the Integration Consortium will make its fourth major transformation since its inception almost 10 years ago – the IC will become a 100% virtual community of integration practitioners.
The organization started out as EAI Industry Consortium, changed its name to the Integration Consortium in 2004, and moved to the U.S. as a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization in 2005. During that time the IC has grown to thousands of active members from around the world who interact and collaborate through the IC member events & website, Linkedin, Facebook and other social media networks.
While there is clearly still much to be accomplished in the coming years, everyone who has contributed to the success and growth of the community should feel proud of what has been accomplished.
The IC board has, after careful consideration and deliberation over the past year, determined that the best course of action for the IC is to shut down as a 501(c)(6) and allow the community to be open and virtual.
Effective December 31, 2009 we will be phasing out the formal 501(c)(6) organization and associated infrastructure.
What will happen to the Integration Consortium LinkedIn Community?
We will continue to actively support, manage and moderate the Integration Consortium LinkedIn group.
We encourage all participants to be active in the discussions and invite your colleagues to participate in this forum.

What is happening to the IC staff?
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Ms. Leanne MacDonald for her selfless commitment as the Integration Consortium's Executive Director over the past 8 years.
As a result of this new direction, we would like to announce that Leanne MacDonald and Michael Kuhbock (Chairman Emeritus and IC Founder) will be transitioning into private practice.
If any organizations or individuals are looking for assistance with their solution development or business development initiatives please do not hesitate to contact Leanne and Michael directly or feel free to review their capabilities and suite of services on their Linkedin public profiles;
Is there an opportunity to take over the leadership of the IC so it remains active?
As mentioned, we will be winding down the formal IC organization but for any organizations (private, public, member or non member) that might be interested in taking over the current infrastructure, leadership platform or the 501(c)(6) status please contact Michael Kuhbock at firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to the journey into our new beginnings with you.
