Dear Integration Community,
Evolution of the Integration Consortium (IC) Public Notification
We are pleased to announce that effective January 1st, 2010, the Integration Consortium will make its fourth major transformation since its inception almost 10 years ago – the IC will become a 100% virtual community of integration practitioners.
The organization started out as EAI Industry Consortium, changed its name to the Integration Consortium in 2004, and moved to the U.S. as a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization in 2005. During that time the IC has grown to thousands of active members from around the world who interact and collaborate through the IC member events & website, Linkedin, Facebook and other social media networks.
While there is clearly still much to be accomplished in the coming years, everyone who has contributed to the success and growth of the community should feel proud of what has been accomplished.
The IC board has, after careful consideration and deliberation over the past year, determined that the best course of action for the IC is to shut down as a 501(c)(6) and allow the community to be open and virtual.
Effective December 31, 2009 we will be phasing out the formal 501(c)(6) organization and associated infrastructure.
